The Garden City Public Library has been serving the residents of Garden City (Michigan) as a resource of traditional and evolving library services for over 90 years.

The Garden City Public Library is your place for books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, magazines, computer access, and free Wi-Fi.  Throughout the year, we offer a variety of free programs for all ages.  The Garden City Public Library provides access to ebooks via Download Destination (powered by OverDrive), and movies, music plus much more via Hoopla.  Using your Garden City Public Library card, you will have access to these services from anywhere at any time!

Stress Buster Adult Coloring Night - Come one, come all, stressed adults, we hear your call! Every Tuesday at 6 pm drop in the Library to relax at our Stress Buster Adult Coloring Night! There will be a multitude of coloring sheets provided, as well as crayons, markers and other materials. You can also bring your own supplies. New coloring pages each week! Ages 14 +

SUMMER READING SPONSORS & DONORS - Are you part of a local business or organization looking for ways to reach out to the community? Look no further! Summer Reading at the GC Library is right around the sunny bend and we need sponsors and donors to help deliver another successful fun-filled summer programming lineup to our community. Last year we had over 450 participants and expect this years numbers to increase by at least a minimum of 100 participants based on our growing patronage. Teens SYNC - Looking for more free audiobooks? Allow us to introduce you to SYNC. SYNC is a free summer audiobook program geared toward teens that gives listeners two complete audiobook downloads each week from April 27 – August 16, 2017. Audiobooks are available in pairs of high interest titles, based on weekly themes. Two free books each week, now through August 16, that's over 30 FREE audiobooks!
Sign up for email or text alerts and be first to know when new titles are available to download at www.audiobooksync.com. Free downloads kick off first with The Picture of Dorian Grey by Oscar Wilde, a masterclass in innocence and corruption that has endured for over 100 years. The second title is The Dead House by Dawn Kurtagich, a terrifying psychological thriller that will keep you guessing long after you’ve finished the book.
Anime Club - Hey Teens! The Garden City Public Library has an event coming up that might be perfect for you: Anime Club. On Thursday, April May 25th, join us at the GCPL from 6-7pm as we enjoy an Anime Club favorite: Ouran High School Host Club. We really hope you can make it! CALLING ALL CLASSIC CAR OWNERS! - Do you have a rockin' ride that needs a place to show it's shiny wheels off? We've got just the event! We are looking for classic car owners of all types to show their treasured transport at the GC Library's end of the Summer Reading Program event on Saturday, July 29th. This event marks the closing of our all-ages Summer Reading Program and will be a fun-filled, family occasion with food, games, crafts, a 50/50 raffle held by the Friends of the Library, and of course, a fantastic showing of classic cars!
