The Garden City Public Library has been serving the residents of Garden City (Michigan) as a resource of traditional and evolving library services for over 90 years.

The Garden City Public Library is your place for books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, magazines, computer access, and free Wi-Fi.  Throughout the year, we offer a variety of free programs for all ages.  The Garden City Public Library provides access to e-books via OverDrive and e-magazines via Zinio.  Using your Garden City Public Library card, you will have access to these services from anywhere at any time!

SSBCast Super Smash Brothers Tournament - On Tuesday, February 16th at 1:00pm, the Garden City Public Library is hosting a Super Smash Brothers Tournament. Are you a fan of video games? Have you ever wanted to know who would win in a fight between Yoshi and Kirby? Then we have the event for you! Competitors ages 11 and up will step up to see who can be crowned King or Queen of the Super Smash Brothers. Winner receives a gift certificate. genealogy-tree-tag-cloud-white-background-edited Genealogy Research Program - If you have an interest in finding out more about your family tree, consider attending the Genealogy Research Program lead by Matt Pacer on Wednesday, Feb. 17th at 6pm at the GCPL. Matt Pacer will discuss strategies for getting started with genealogy research, as well as give resources for future investigation. Family Game Night Family Game Night - The Garden City Public Library wants to help families settle the age old question: who is the ultimate champion. On Thursday, February 18 from 5-7pm, the Library will be hosting a Family Game Night. Come enjoy board games, card games, Wii games, and face off against your family members! Free pizza will be served. We ask that people call to register for spots at (734) 793-1830. We hope to see you there! Bring your family and find out who is the best of the best.
Capture Stress Buster Adult Coloring Night - Who's ready to relax with some coloring pages and chocolate fondue? Come to the library Monday, Feb. 22 at 6pm to do just that at our Stress Buster Adult Coloring Night! There will be a multitude of coloring sheets provided, as well as crayons, markers and other materials. You can also bring your own supplies. Of course, the most important part of the evening, is the free chocolate fondue, which will be available for all who attend. Let us know that you will be joining us by calling (734) 793-1830 to register.

The Genetic Opera - This months movie is full of the fuel to make a great classic… a family mystery, political tension, an epidemic, a battle between big business and the welfare of the people, mercenaries, legalized murder, oh, and singing. On Wednesday, February 24th at 6:00pm, come see where this concoction takes us, and judge for yourselves; is “The Genetic Opera” a masterpiece or a monstrosity?
