The Garden City Public Library has been serving the residents of Garden City (Michigan) as a resource of traditional and evolving library services for over 90 years.

The Garden City Public Library is your place for books, DVDs, CDs, audiobooks, magazines, computer access, and free Wi-Fi.  Throughout the year, we offer a variety of free programs for all ages.  The Garden City Public Library provides access to e-books via OverDrive and e-magazines via Zinio.  Using your Garden City Public Library card, you will have access to these services from anywhere at any time!

Capture Drop In Art-Film-O-Rama - On Saturday, December 5th, at 2:00-4:30pm, the Library will hosting it's very first Art-Film-O-Rama by showing Matthew Barney's "Cremaster Cycle" Part 1 of a Nine Part film series. The movie features a great deal of "business" to follow where oddly dressed characters try to accomplish strange tasks, like chopping up a room full of raw potatoes with bladed shoes. There will be more films just as amazingly bizarre and tedious featured in upcoming events at the Library.

pajamastorytime Pajama Storytime - Due to the wonderful success of the previous one, Garden City Public Library is hosing another Pajama Storytime! Have you ever wanted to cuddle up in your PJs with your favorite stuffed animal and read a book? Then have we got the event for you! As long as you're ten and under, of course. On December 10th at 6:30pm, The Garden City Library will be hosting a pajama story time for all the lucky guests. Patrons will be encouraged to wear pajamas and bring stuffed animal buddies along for the ride. There will be a story and a short film.
